The director of the National
Theater Company (CNT), Carlos Arroyo, reported that he participated in the Zébrures
D'Automne Festival (France) and will arrive this week at the Ibero-American Theater Festival in Cádiz (Spain), with the purpose
of strengthening cultural ties with several
countries and including new theatrical works to prepare the catalog of the next International Progressive Theater Festival in Venezuela (
FESTIPVEN) 2025.
Arroyo commented that at the
Zébrures D'Automne Festival, held in the city of Limoges, from September 25 to October
5, French-speaking Caribbean islands were present, with whom agreements were made to ensure their participation in FESITPVEN 2025
.
“There are islands such as Haiti, Dominica, Guadalupe,
that are of our interest to have a presence at the
International Progressive Theater Festival in Venezuela, to be held in April
2025. That is the main objective of our presence here and we have already coordinated
with groups from these islands. They are works in French, but they have a relationship
with the Caribbean and Latin America,” he explained.
Since 2022 , FESITPVEN has been held
in the country with the objective of making contemporary theater visible, represented
in the work of various national and international groups. All this
from a progressive perspective that highlights the causes and just struggles of the
peoples of the world.
