Committee on Culture and Recreation of the AN celebrated Venezuelan Film Day

With regard to National Film Day, the Permanent Committee on Culture and Recreation of the National Assembly (AN) highlights the effort, talent and dedication of filmmakers and other professionals who make it possible for the seventh Venezuelan art to be recognized inside and outside borders.

In a statement released this Tuesday, the members of the parliamentary body expressed their aspiration for this to be a celebration of Venezuelan talent and a reminder of the transformative power of art.

In the same way, they expressed their commitment to continue working hand in hand with popular power and cultural institutions, to ensure that Venezuelan cinema continues to be a space for creativity.

They also praised the efforts of the Bolivarian government to implement policies to strengthen this sector, with the launch of the Villa del Cine Foundation, the National Autonomous Center for Cinematography, and the promotion of the Community Cinema program, to support and promote audiovisual production with a Venezuelan label.
