The deputy to the National Assembly, Juan Romero, said Venezuela is facing a fifth-generation war whose main epicenter is the brain and the processes of cognition and are associated with these dynamics of the use of telephones.

During his participation in the program Sin Truco ni Maña, which is broadcast on Radio Nacional de Venezuela, Romero recalled that until the end of the 19th century there were at least 17 interventions, “a product of the offensive initiated by Simón Bolívar and that the United States responds in some way by collaborating with the Spanish Empire.”

In that sense, he asserted that the difference is that there is currently the use of the elements of what we call the fourth industrial revolution, which has to do with artificial intelligence.

He emphasized that now people assume that everything they see on social networks is true, “people have stopped reading”, they no longer analyze what they see, they no longer question and “cyberfascism takes advantage of that”.

“ Free peoples defeat powerful empires!” , the historian also said, citing the phrase that El Libertador Simón Bolívar exclaimed when two American inspection vessels arrived in the country, inside which weapons were found, instead of other types of merchandise, and which were intended for realistic troops.

Romero pointed out that the phrase is valid given the current situation that the country is going through, when military ships in the Caribbean Sea intend to undermine national sovereignty. “As it was more than 200 years ago, the country is reviving the anti-imperialist character of El Libertador.”
