During the program “Without Tricks or Tricks”, the deputy to the National Assembly (AN) Tania Díaz denounced what she described as a “fascist wave” driven by Argentine President Javier Milei in the Patagonia region, warning that the president's actions transcend borders and could have a negative impact on Latin America.

“The reality that is being experienced today in Argentina seeks to be transferred to our region. Milei is displacing the indigenous populations of Patagonia to install Israeli settlers, a fact that is not mentioned as often as it deserves, but that is happening right now,” said Díaz, while urging South American peoples to be attentive to what he considers to be a strategy of rearranging the capitalist system.

In her speech, the parliamentarian also questioned the policies of cutting and dismantling public institutions in Argentina. “It eliminated offices, laid off thousands of workers and reduced pensions for Argentines, while providing benefits to those who migrate from Israel to Patagonia,” he said.

For her part, the deputy Iris Varela warned that “they have this story that South America is the promised land and, based on that ideology, they have committed a genocide that they are trying to justify under colonial and expansionist discourses.”

Both parliamentarians agreed on the need to keep an active alert to this type of fascist action, which they consider dangerous to the social and political stability of the continent.
