Congresswoman Grecia Colmenarez: The US has violated international child protection regulations

The United States government has violated all international regulations that protect the rights of children by separating Venezuelan infants from their parents, said the deputy to the National Assembly, Grecia Colmenarez.

In this regard, during her participation in the podcast Sin Truco Ni Maña, the parliamentarian stressed that there is no reason to justify the separation of a mother from her children, and that they are taken to “foster homes” anywhere in the United States.

In this regard, the parliamentarian assured that the Revolutionary Government will use all the mechanisms at its disposal to guarantee the return to Venezuela of the more than 19 children who have been taken from their families by the US authorities.

“Childhood is the sacred treasure that we preserve as a country. It is that nascent and growing seed for which we are, today more than ever, going to raise our voices,” he said.
