The National Electric Corporation (CORPOELEC) informs the Venezuelan people that, due to heavy rainfall with electrical discharges associated with the passage of tropical wave 29, there was a failure in the El Junquito substation, which affected the flow of electricity service in various areas of Greater Caracas.

As a result of this situation, the states of La Guaira and Miranda, specifically the Altos Mirandinos and the Guarenas-Guatire axis, have a momentary interruption of the energy supply.

Following the instructions of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, CORPOELEC has deployed all its technical and human resources to restore electricity in the shortest possible time.
