The National Electric Corporation (CORPOELEC) carried out a preventive and corrective maintenance day on high voltage lines associated with the Ejido substation, located in the municipality of Campo Elías, to optimize the operation of the electricity service in the state of Mérida.
According to information provided by CORPOELEC, the crews carried out the revision and replacement of strategic equipment linked to the 34.5 kV bar, including the replacement of hardware and insulators in the line that supplies the Villa Libertad and La Huerta substations. These actions strengthen the 13.8 kV circuits that serve the Centenario, El Morro communities and adjacent sectors.
The maneuvers were carried out “hot”, that is, without interrupting the power supply, thanks to the experience of personnel specialized in Energized Lines, trained to operate under demanding technical conditions.
In this way, CORPOELEC reaffirms its commitment to the continuous improvement of the National Electricity System (SEN), ensuring greater reliability and efficiency in the provision of service for the people of Merida.
