The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, announced this Tuesday the deliberation of the first Constitutional Decree to face warmongering threats from United States (US) imperialism.
During the meeting of the Executive Committee of the Council of State of the Nation, from the Miraflores Palace, the Head of State pointed out that this Decree is aimed at ensuring that “the entire nation, the entire republic, all institutions, every man and woman, citizen of this country, has the support, protection and activation of all the strength of Venezuelan society, to respond to threats or, if necessary, to any attack that may be carried out against Venezuela”.
The president stressed that the proposal arrived at an advanced state of coordination, training and activation and stated that the Public Powers must be intensively active, to live up to the historic moment and to the overwhelmingly majority demands, according to national and international surveys, which indicate that more than 90% of the Venezuelan population rejects imperial threats.
“He describes them as repugnant and gross and is willing to defend Venezuela's right to peace,” emphasized the Dignitary, referring to the actions of the Venezuelan people.
