Daesh assumes attack on the Shiite mosque in Islamabad, Pakistan

The terrorist group Daesh, calling itself Islamic State (IS) and banned in the Russian Federation and other countries, assumed responsibility for the attack carried out on Friday on a Shiite mosque in Islamabad, Pakistan, Telesur details.
The terrorist action that left at least 31 fatalities and more than 170 injured and serious damage to the temple and surrounding buildings.
The Daesh claim was released by the SITE Intelligence Group in the early hours of Saturday, an entity that monitors jihadist activities.
According to the story released by the organization, the attacker “opened fire on the temple guards when they tried to stop him, and then detonated his explosive vest among the Shiite congregation”.
The explosion occurred at the Imam Bargah Qasr-e-Khadijatul Kubra mosque, located in the Tarlai neighborhood, on the outskirts of the Pakistani capital, during Friday prayers, when the country's temples were full of faithful.
The municipality of Islamabad confirmed the initial death toll of 31, although a senior police official warned on condition of anonymity that the balance “should continue to increase”.
