This Friday, December 12, the president of Marca País, Daniella Cabello, emphasized that the 25th Edition of the World Forum on Special Economic Zones and the Transition to New Economic Models reaffirm the brotherhood between Venezuela and China.
“It is an honor for Venezuela to host this Forum, but this space, more than an event, symbolizes the strength of the brotherhood between Venezuela and China; and of course the intention to continue building these bridges of cooperation between the two countries,” said Cabello from the Teresa Carreño Theater in Caracas.
In this regard, he stressed that in recent years Venezuela has experienced a profound transformation towards economic diversification, with the objective of leaving behind dependence on oil revenues, to make room for itself in other fields.
In addition, he carried out an exploratory analysis of the country, highlighting the privileges of its geographical location and the abundant natural wealth it possesses.
“Venezuela is here because of great potential, as I said, geostrategic energy and tourism,” he emphasized, noting that despite adversities, the country has achieved economic growth rates, also achieving self-sufficiency of more than 97% of the products it consumes and an increase in its production in areas such as coffee, cocoa, fruits and vegetables.
He stressed that Venezuela's economic growth, as Vice President Delcy Rodríguez said, “has not been a miracle, it has been a strategy of economic stability that has allowed our people to be at peace.”
He also referred to the work that has been carried out by Marca País, pointing out that the institute “has promoted the Hecho in Venezuela campaign, a very nice campaign, where we have sought to stimulate the local economy by supporting the companies of entrepreneurs and local producers”.
“The Ministry of National Commerce with the SAPI (Autonomous Intellectual Property Service) has been promoting and supporting the economy of our various producers in strategic areas that stand out within the Venezuelan cultural heritage. The Made in Venezuela seal goes beyond a simple label, it represents a declaration of identity, a call to solidarity and an engine for the economic development of the country,” he noted and explained that in total they have supported 291 producers.
He reaffirmed that these initiatives seek to continue strengthening the national economy “through the promotion of exports and the attraction of investments (...) in Venezuela we are strengthening our Country Brand, which is why we believe in the importance of creating, developing, promoting and positioning Venezuela as a country with an export vocation, which has also been an order of our president Nicolás Maduro”.
He pointed out that in this way Venezuela will continue to strengthen its economy for the People, in addition to “meeting the demands of the global market, of course within the legal framework and economic policies that have been implemented to guarantee the security, stability and profitability of all investments that enter Venezuela within the exportable supply.”
