The young David Martínez and Lorenzo D'Agostini will miss the South American Under 20 and will not be able to join the Vinotinto rally, after not receiving permission from their respective teams.

Los Angeles Football Club of Major League Soccer, (MLS) and Sociedad Deportiva Lazio U19 of Italy, denied permission to Martínez and D'Agostini, respectively.

Additionally, the presence of Juan Arango Jr and Kervin Andrade is under consideration. Girona fears that Arango will relapse from his injury and Fortaleza requires economic guarantees from Venezuela in case Tuti suffers any type of injury.

The U20 tournament will begin on January 23 in Venezuela with the local team's match against Chile at the Metropolitan Stadium of Cabudare, in Barquisimeto, at 7:30 p.m.

Venezuela is part of group A along with Paraguay, Peru, Chile and Uruguay. While in B, Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Ecuador and Colombia will compete.
