In the community of 2 de Marzo, Leonardo Ruiz Pineda parish in the Tucupita municipality, Delta Amacuro state, the process of setting up the Bolivarian Integral Base Committees (CBBI) was carried out, within the framework of the renewal of community leadership in the entity.
Street spokeswoman Danielis García reported that the initiative responds to the guidelines of President Nicolás Maduro with the objective of expanding popular participation in territorial management.
During the assembly, residents from different sectors presented themselves to run as street leaders, in an open process that will allow representatives to be elected by direct vote. Each elected leader will form a working group to channel the requests and needs of their community.
García explained that this dynamic strengthens popular organization and allows for progress in the articulation of social policies from the ground up. “Every inhabitant has the opportunity to apply and actively participate in this process,” he said.
The day is part of a simultaneous initiative in all the communities of the Delta Amacuro state, where the selection of spokespersons is carried out to consolidate the structure of the CBBI in the territory.
