A multidisciplinary team, led by Civil Protection officials, were deployed to address the situation of the rains and the flooding of the Orinoco River in Delta Amacuro.

This was reported by the governor of this entity, Loa Tamaronis, who added that these people will serve with a contingency plan the communities most vulnerable by the rains or those that are eventually flooded by the flooding of the Orinoco River.

“The river has not yet surpassed the land level in part of the communities of the Middle Delta, which include the municipalities of Casacoima, Tucupita and Antonio Díaz,” she explained, quoted by the regional press.

More than 30 communities are threatened by the annual flooding of the Orinoco River in the Delta and will be addressed by the disciplinary team in the coming days.
