The Venezuelan citizen Gregorio Bolívar, who returned to the country through the Great Mission Back to the Fatherland, reported having been a victim of abuse after requesting food during his detention in the United States (USA).

The Venezuelan, who arrived in the country on the flight of the great mission last Wednesday, specified that “there are no Human Rights there; they treat you as if you were the worst of criminals,” detailed a press release from the Ministry of People's Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace.

He reported that, along with the rest of the detainees, “they were beaten simply for asking for food. We had been detained for three days without receiving any food, so we decided to start a strike. In response, about ten police officers came in and physically assaulted the six of us in the room.”

In addition, Bolívar said that his flight was scheduled for last week, but it had to be rescheduled due to the marks of aggression on his body .

On Wednesday, a total of 166 people deported from the United States arrived in the country. The group consisted of 154 men and 12 women who were received and treated by the public security bodies with the corresponding protocols.
