The National Simulacrum on Civil Protection and Preparedness of the People was of vital importance since it served to remind Venezuelans of the protocols for action in situations of natural and provoked disasters, said the Deputy Minister for Risk Management and Civil Protection, Admiral Juan Carlos Oti.
During an interview with Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), Oti highlighted that among the knowledge imparted to the population is everything related to first aid and ways of dealing with various emergency situations.
In addition, he stressed that in this simulation, in 411 scenarios arranged throughout the country, the action protocols of the security forces, the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, and the Popular Power organized to deal with arson, hazardous materials, structures, environmental pollution, internal commotion, war conflicts, among others, were also tested.
Also, the Deputy Minister pointed out that this maneuver was joined by workers from strategic State companies such as PDVSA and CANTV, who implemented plans to protect infrastructure.
In addition, Oti called on communal circuits, communal councils and organized people to have strategic plans of action in cases of natural or provoked emergencies.
