The first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, paid tribute to Commander Fidel Castro, on the occasion of his birth this Tuesday, August 13.
“Yesterday (Tuesday 13th) a Giant of the Giants celebrated its birthday, the world remembers it, because, that's what happens with the Great Ones, great souls will pass 100, 200 years and they will continue to name them,” he said.
On the Con El Mazo Dando program, in its 490 broadcast, he showed a video “that the President (Nicolás Maduro) gave me and I said that I will borrow it as a tribute from the Con El Mazo Dando program to Commander Fidel Castro Ruz”.
At the end of the video, Cabello stated that “those of us who were fortunate (...) I was lucky, thanks to Commander Chávez and to himself, to greet him and to talk to him. The first conversation lasted seven hours.”
“A wise man with a huge heart couldn't fit in this room, because that's why Cuba is Cuba and that's why there are countries, leaders, presidents, leaders that don't forgive Cuba or Venezuela or Nicaragua, having a political project that has lasted over time.”
In that sense, he said that the right wing doesn't like these political projects, “envy, yes, that's how human misery is, well, those people can't control that.”
He stated that “that is what will hurt the last names here in Venezuela the most, in 100 years the Peoples will name Chávez and they will not remember any of those baseless surnames.”
