The first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, assured that the majority of those arrested during the violent acts of recent days in the country did not exercise their right to vote on July 28.
“When they were captured they said they were demanding their electoral rights and when asked if they had voted they said no and in the end they ended up counting who paid them. They know that they are alone, because the right wing tends to leave their people alone,” said Cabello Rondón, during the special broadcast of the Con El Mazo Dando #488 program.
In that sense, he argued that there is no solidarity on the right. “We already have those who committed the acts, they are under arrest. More than one of those who paid has already been captured and then we're going for the one who gave them the money, the one who paid,” he said.
He assured that the Venezuelan right does not want to govern for the People, “they want to govern the people and this people are not governed by anyone, because they learned from Hugo Chávez to govern themselves.”
