Diosdado Cabello: We are getting ready for the democratic holiday of 27J!

This Monday, June 16, the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, highlighted that the revolutionary forces are preparing for the democratic, participatory and leading party on July 27, in which Venezuelans will elect their mayors and councilors.

“We are on the electoral schedule this week, we have candidates for 335 mayors, an arduous and meticulous work of detail; and 2,471 councilors and councilors, plus alternates, throughout Venezuela, already in the registration process; and we are preparing for this democratic, open, participatory, transparent, universal, direct and secret festival, as it should be,” he said during a PSUV press conference.

He also reaffirmed that candidates from the Revolution and from sectors of the opposition are still in the process of registering, which according to the schedule of the National Electoral Council (CNE) is until this Tuesday.

He specified that the nomination of candidates for the PSUV is carried out in conjunction with the other parties of the Great Patriotic Pole (GPP). “We are not alone here, there is a great force that accompanies our party, as are those of the GPP and the Social Movements as well, comrades who are not active members, but who in the municipalities are recognized as leaders by the People,” he said.
