According to a study by the Torcuato Di Tella University (UTDT), Argentinean distrust in Javier Milei's administration continues to rise, and for the fifth consecutive month, the president's approval levels have fallen.

According to the Prensa Latina web portal, the Government Trust Index (ICG) marked 2.33 points in April, a decrease of -3.7% compared to March and -4.8 percentage points compared to the same month in 2024, a downward trend that began in December.

The UTDT study revealed that there is evidence of a decline in all aspects, including young people aged 18 to 29, a sector that helped him win the presidency last November 2023.

The negative variation of the ICG compared to March was negative in its five components, such as: Capacity to solve the country's problems (-3.0%), Honesty of officials (-1.5%); while Efficiency in the administration of public expenditure (-0.2%), General Government Assessment (-4.9%) and Concern for the general interest (-9.7%).

The researchers conducted the survey from April 3 to 11 of this year, and did not consider the population's reaction to the news about new adjustments due to the agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), nor the battery of increases in the prices of electricity, water, gas, transportation, rents and prepaid clinics.
