The Minister of Popular Power for National Commerce, Luis Antonio Villegas, reported that the Venezuelan Chamber of Electronic Commerce (CAVECOM-E) will close with growth of up to 100% in electronic payments in 2024.
“I am grateful and these statistics are very positive for the trade sector. We are committed to continuing to grow in the digital market and supporting initiatives that facilitate work for both consumers and merchants,” he said during a meeting with representatives of CAVECOM-E.
Villegas reaffirmed its commitment to continue strengthening electronic commerce through the modernization of business processes, transactions and merchant operations.
For its part, CAVECOM-E indicated that electricity sales are projected to increase by 40% in the last quarter of 2024.
In addition, the Chamber developed digital kits, and will provide merchants with the necessary training to use these electronic tools, according to a press release from the Ministry of People's Power for National Trade.
Both the Ministry of National Commerce and CAVECOM-E maintain a cooperation agenda to promote a more efficient and accessible business environment, where electronic payments are consolidated as the preferred option for consumers.
