The cyclist Edwin Torres of the Alicanto Consulting Group team won the third stage of the 61st Vuelta a Venezuela, with a time of 4:53:29 seconds.

The Creole dominated the stage after traveling a 203 kilometer journey, from the town of Monay in the state of Trujillo to the monument, Mantle of the Virgin of Barquisimeto.

For his part, Alex Méndez, Torres's teammate, was in second position. While the third place went to Roniel Campos, from the La Guacamaya Team.

Luis Mora of the Bolivarian Government of Trujillo and Javier Jamaica of Team Medellín, placed fourth and fifth respectively, all with the same time record as the winner.

With three days of competition completed, the Colombian member of Team Medellín, David González, maintains the lead of the lap, with an accumulation of time of 10:0 9 : 0 7 seconds ; Luis Mora, is in second place at 8 seconds and the third is occupied by Luis Pinto at 43 seconds.
