Estado Mayor de Rains is activated in Cojedes to serve affected families

National Government authorities activated the General Staff of rains and were deployed in the state of Cojedes, in order to guarantee care for families affected by the overflow of the Cojedes River after the heavy rains that have occurred in the state.

In this regard, the national representative of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) in the region, Jhon Moreno, reported that the flooding of the river affected the municipalities of Ricaurte, Anzoátegui, Girardot and Ezequiel Zamora, and left families affected.

For his part, the mayor of the Ricaurte municipality, Damián Barrada, reported that particularly in the Amparo parish, four sectors were seriously affected, including the community of Félix Romero, Primero de Mayo, Los Hornos, who suffered total loss of equipment.

In this regard, he stressed that they provide an immediate response with the activation of shelters and comprehensive care days for the protection of all citizens. Assistance includes food, drinking water, medicines, clothing, footwear, and vaccination days, distributed with the objective of alleviating the difficult situation faced by the inhabitants of the area.
