The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, held a meeting with the Fishermen's Council, the Community Councils and the productive communes of Playa Verde, in the state of La Guaira, with the objective of reviewing special projects to give economic impetus to the fishing sector in a national union.
“We share with the Fishermen's Council of the community of Playa Verde, in the state of La Guaira. With their 35 boats every day they offer 1500 kilos of varied species, to the communal circuit to which they belong and to several states of the country at a fair price. They are the only ones in Venezuela dedicated to fishing for pike fish. Without a doubt, it is an extraordinary experience with export potential, which strengthens the communal economy,” said the minister.
He added that through the chain of production, this commune can achieve advances in the quality of life of its inhabitants, and young people can also link their projects to fishing and work for the nation's food security.
