The sector vice president of Defense and Sovereignty, Vladimir Padrino
López, reported on the interception of a foreign vessel in the waters
of the Venezuelan Delta.
This vessel had military symbolism on its facades, but it did not belong to any nation's
defense system, he stressed.
“Our Bolivarian Navy, the Insular Maritime Network of the Strategic Command's Defensive System, detected and intercepted a vessel 50 miles from the Delta in Venezuelan waters (...) They are not waters to be delimited, they are Venezuelan waters,” he said.
He added that it is a “very suspicious vessel, painted gray with a military nomenclature and is not military; it is a ship that was doing scientific research in our exclusive economic zone. You don't even have permission, what's that? Are we going to allow that?”
332 decorated with Military Order Rafael Urdaneta
He also specified that more than 332 officers, who graduated from military academies and institutes in 1995, received the award of the General Military Order Rafael Urdaneta, in his First Class. “To earn this recognition, 30 years of good service, loyalty, perseverance and great dignity had to pass, so as not to fall into the clutches of North American imperialism,” he explained.
Venezuela is being heard in the world
Padrino took the opportunity to celebrate Venezuela's diplomatic victory in the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN), adopting by majority the resolution proclaiming #04Dic as the International Day Against Unilateral Coercive Measures (MCU). “This is a great victory with Venezuela's leadership, because Venezuela is being heard in the world (...) It was resolved one day to condemn the MCUs and more than 130 countries voted in the affirmative for it,” he concluded.
