The Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) continues to deploy in the country's communal circuits as part of the “The Barracks Go to the People” day, promoting basic training and shared responsibility for the comprehensive defense of the territory.

Jhoan Márquez Flores, commander of the 31st Mechanized Infantry Brigade, stressed that in this phase of Exercise Independence 200 it represents a strategic turning point in civic-military union.

“Last week it was the people who came to the barracks; today it is the Armed Forces that move to the communities, carrying out training, study of the environment and ideological strengthening,” he said.

Márquez Flores explained that a territorial diagnosis process has been initiated to identify critical points and delimit areas of responsibility.

“We are framed by studying the area of each sector, so that people can draw up their own risk maps and assume comprehensive defense with conscience and commitment,” he said.

He emphasized that this action responds to the constitutional mandate of co-responsibility between the People and the FANB.

“It's not just about the operational aspect, we are also reinforcing the ideological component, taking up the figures of Bolívar and Zamora as references of the sovereign people and the civic-military union,” he said.
