FCN presented cultural agenda within the framework of FILVEN 2025

From July 3 to 13, the National Cinemateca Foundation (FCN) will offer a varied agenda of activities that merge cinema and literature, in the spaces of the National Art Gallery (GAN) and the Youth Square in Caracas, within the framework of the 21st edition of the Venezuela International Book Fair 2025 (FILVEN), under the motto “Reading Humanizes”.
On Friday, July 4, at 6:00 p.m., the event “Cinema Comic: Digital Baptism” will be held with a presentation by Rongny Sotillo (National Film Foundation of Venezuela and Friends of the Ninth Art Program - PANA). The appointment is in the Esteban Mosonyi room of the National Art Gallery.
On Monday, July 7, at 1:00 p.m., a tribute will be paid to José Miguel Acosta with presentations by Maurizio Liberatoscioli, Marisol Sanz, Humberto Castillo and Vladimir Sosa Sarabia. It will take place in the José Antonio Sucre room of the National Art Gallery.
On Tuesday, July 8, at 6:00 p.m., the relaunch of Venezuelan filmmaker Lilian Blaser's digital notebook No. 17 will take place. This event will feature presentations by Liliane Blaser, Humberto Castillo and Vladimir Sosa Sarabia, in the Esteban Mosonyi room of the National Art Gallery.
On Friday, July 11, at 11:00 a.m., the digital christening of the book “Venezuelan Filmography 1954-1972” will take place. Speakers Humberto Castillo and Vladimir Sosa Sarabia will participate in the Marc de Civrieux room of the National Art Gallery.
In addition to this program, visitors will be able to explore a stand, where they will find a wide selection of film material at affordable prices.
The Cinemateca's participation will include mobile cinema. This project will allow attendees to immerse themselves in a wide selection of literary and audiovisual material related to the seventh art, with spectacular screenings that celebrate the Venezuelan cinematographic tradition.
The National Cinemateca Foundation invites all film and literature lovers to join this cultural celebration and to enjoy activities where both expressions converge to enrich the human spirit.
