“Fidel Forever” Seminar will be held in Caracas on August 14 and 15

The International Seminar “Fidel Forever” will be held at the Simon Bolivar Theater in Caracas, on August 14 and 15, 2025, as part of the activities leading up to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Fidel Castro Ruz, Commander of the Cuban Revolution.

The national coordinator of the Cuba-Venezuela Solidarity Movement, Yhonny García, explained that this international space in the Venezuelan capital will have four panels or main themes, which will address part of the history, life, legacy and struggles of the leader who represents an unprecedented era and as one of the most important characters of the 20th century.

He explained that the seminar will be addressed as follows: the first topic will be Fidel's thinking, his origin, genesis and political vision. The second, the history of the Cuban Revolution, the commander's masterpiece. The third aspect will touch on the theme of solidarity and international peace, as the basis of Commander Fidel's strategic thoughts and, finally, fourthly, its projection over time and era will be discussed with exchanges of ideas with young people.

“It must be remembered that Fidel, at the time of the Moncada Barracks, was not 30 years old, so today we say that Fidel was part of the youth of José Martí's centenary,” he said.

It is important to note that this event will be extended to 19 states in Venezuela, to highlight the life and work of the leader of the Cuban revolution, Fidel Castr, whose legacy has inspired new generations around the planet.
