The Venezuelan athlete Emmanuel Pedroza, from the athletics discipline in the 5000 meters category, won the gold medal at the VI Pan American Games for the Deaf Brazil 2024.
The Yaracuyan won first place in the competition with a record of 17.22.3.
This is the first gold medal for the Creole delegation present at the 2024 Pan American Games for the Deaf.
