For four days, the Venezuela International Telecommunications Fair 2025 (FITELVEN) brought together more than 128 national and six international companies, specialized forums, international exhibitors and interactive experiences for the whole family, attended by more than 61,000 people, said Jorge Márquez, the sector vice president of Public Works and Services and general director of the National Telecommunications Commission (CONATEL).
Márquez highlighted that more than 18 million dollars were negotiated at the fair over the next five years. “This is in a sector that had lagged behind as a result of sanctions,” he highlighted, adding that during FITELVEN, agreements and negotiations were held with the companies that participated, which he described as a total success for the sector.
In this third edition of FITELVEN, innovations were presented in 5G, Artificial Intelligence, cybersecurity, fiber optics and the Internet of Things (IoT), which consolidated telecommunications as a strategic sector that contributed 7.13% to GDP in the first half of 2025, he said.
