The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, reported that he had a conversation with his Colombian counterpart, Rosa Villavicencio, who, in addition to conveying the solidarity of the Government of the New Granada nation with the People and Government of Venezuela, reported that his country, as a member of the Security Council of the United Nations (UN), requested an emergency meeting to discuss the criminal military attack of the United States (USA) against Venezuelan territory.

“As a member of the United Nations Security Council, Colombia has requested an emergency meeting for this body to act immediately and stop attacks against Venezuela's territorial and political sovereignty,” said the Venezuelan foreign minister.
