GAN opened its doors to pay post-mortem tribute to Rudy Márquez

This Wednesday, June 18, the National
Art Gallery (GAN) opened its doors to pay an emotional posthumous tribute
to renowned singer Rudy Márquez.
The activity was accompanied by the Deputy Minister
of Culture, Karen Millán; as well as family and friends who shared experiences,
experiences and anecdotes about the artist during the Conservatory Memories Unforgettable.
“Today there
are the friends, companions on the road, in singing and in the work of our Rudy
Márquez. We needed to meet to honor him. Today we embrace each other with
joy and nostalgia. We are just one step away from his music, his memories and
his glory. From this space, I also greet you on behalf of Minister
Ernesto Villegas,” Millán said.
Gerardo Valentín was in charge of
interpreting songs by the renowned singer that made us sigh, cry and laugh.
These were: Love and love, Bella, Ana María, You're going to lose her, I saw her standing there and everyone move.
“It's an honor to sing and evoke an
indisputable idol like Rudy Márquez, who in addition to great songs
left us great lessons,” said the interpreter.
In addition, the International Diamond Mara
award was posthumously awarded, for the 50 years of the immortalized singer's artistic life.
Finally, the band Los Rockellinos accompanied the group Los Tres Tristes Tigres with a medley of songs by Los Darts, Los Impala and Los 007.
