GAN will kick off with the 2nd Edition of the Arte Creators Contest this Saturday

The Deputy Minister of Image and Space Arts, Mary Pemjean, reported that the second edition of the Creative Contemporary Art Competition, under the title “Transformations: Humanity” will be held in the spaces of the National Art Gallery (GAN) in Caracas, from next Saturday, August 9 until the end of the year.
“This event allows our women artists, our women artisans, all those who generate these works of art with their hands, with their knowledge, to have this space and the possibility of projecting themselves, making themselves known, so that people can see and enjoy the work they have been doing,” she explained at a press conference according to information from Venezolana de Televisión.
He also indicated that the call included the nomination of more than 450 works by artists from various disciplines, of which 89 works were selected, reflecting the high creative level both nationally and internationally.
The co-director of the project, Ana Volante, announced that this is the second edition of this initiative and invited her to the opening gala, starting at 10:30 in the morning of August 9. “We give the invitation to the public, and the show will be open until the end of this year, so we look forward to seeing you all,” he said.
This contemporary art competition is an initiative of CAF (Development Bank for Latin America and the Caribbean) in partnership with Volantes Estudio, which seeks to make visible the role of women artists and the value of their production in proposals for photography, sculpture, video art, painting, plastic art, fabric, ceramics, and other disciplines.
