GAN will pay tribute to the poet Juan Calzadilla this Sunday

The Great Mission Viva Venezuela, My Beloved Homeland reported that the National Museums Foundation (FMN), attached to the Ministry of Popular Power for Culture, will pay tribute to the Venezuelan poet, visual artist and art critic, Juan Calzadilla, next Sunday, July 6, in the spaces of the National Art Gallery (GAN) in Caracas, starting at 11 in the morning.

Through his account on the social network Instagram, he extended the invitation to the Venezuelan people to participate in the emotional recognition of Calzadilla's poetic and innovative work.

“The National Museums Foundation invites you to pay tribute to Juan Calzadilla (1930-2025), poet, visual artist and art critic, a key figure in the Venezuelan avant-garde and co-founder of the mythical collective El Techo de la Ballena. Free admission! We are waiting for you to celebrate his work and his rebellious spirit with a cause!” , he specified.

The tribute is part of the activities of the Venezuela International Book Fair 2025 (FILVEN), in recognition of Juan Calzadilla's literary, plastic and educational legacy, after his departure on June 15.
