The National Art Gallery (GAN) will open its doors on October 9th
to receive the chair The Portrait, Representation and Expression,
which will be held during four sessions on Thursdays, from 1:30 p.m to 4:30 p.m.
This chair will propose a
theoretical and practical journey through historical, technical and expressive aspects of autoreal photographic portraiture.
In addition, it will seek to promote and reinforce
visual references to portraiture based on the work of photographers and photographers of the National Museums
Foundation (FMN), without leaving aside other
fundamental authors in the genre.
On the other hand, from practice, the participant
will be motivated to consider creating the portrait with an
authorial vision, whether documentary, artistic or experimental.
The activity is aimed at people interested in the subject, with basic knowledge in photography. The facilitator will be Alejandro Toro, an authorial photographer with more than 40 years of experience.
