The governor of the state of Anzoátegui, Luis José
Marcano, delivered a modern computerized tomograph interconnected with artificial
intelligence with 16 cuts to the Dr. Jesús Angulo Rivas Hospital in Anaco, a modern computerized tomograph interconnected with artificial intelligence.
Through the government's Instagram account,
it became known that this equipment “represents an investment of close to one million
dollars and is the second free tomograph active in the entity that allows multiple images of the patient's anatomy
to be captured,
facilitating CT scans or examinations of the skull, neck, chest, paranasal sinuses and joints.
In addition, it offers the possibility of
carrying out reconstructions in several planes and presents the information in three
dimensions (3D).”
The health authorities of the state estimate that 25 patients
will be able to be treated daily, which translates to approximately 530
people per month.
“In this unit, the
X-ray service was also activated, in an effort that is part of government policy to strengthen the public health
system and improve the quality of life of Anzoatiguans. The
governor also announced that in the coming days the tomography
unit will be launched at the Dr. Felipe Guevara Rojas hospital in El Tigre,
which will treat patients from the southern area,” the Government reported.
