In order to promote cultural and artistic development, the Government of Barinas began rehabilitation and improvements to the “José Ángel Lamas” School of Music, an entity attached to the Autonomous Institute of State Culture (IACEB), an emblematic place in the region for the adequate teaching of music.
This project, which is being implemented through the Executive Secretariat for Infrastructure and Territorial Planning (SIOT), aims to optimize spaces to benefit approximately 300 students.
The rehabilitation includes the conditioning of the ceiling, walls, floors and bathrooms, as well as common spaces, classrooms and administrative areas and even the recovery of some assets that are deteriorated.
The “José Ángel Lamas” Music School is a space where children, young people and adults are taught to maneuver musical instruments such as the harp, four, maracas, cello, piano, flute, as well as choral singing, among other chairs, being a fundamental pillar in the training of musicians and artists.
