This Monday, the government of the Plurinational State of Bolivia strongly rejected the “unfriendly and reckless” statements of the Argentine Presidency, which it described as a “false complaint”, the failed attempt at an institutional coup against the president, Luis Arce.

The Bolivian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that it “has decided to live in democracy in a sovereign way”, so “any military act that threatens the Government constituted by the vote of the people with war tanks and armed soldiers is clearly a coup d'etat”.

In this regard, he considers that there are “uninformed and biased assertions” about the “possible existence of political prisoners or the possibility of the absence of a failed military coup”.

The action of Javier Milei's government was described as an “excess and unacceptable negationism”, which is why it urges “information and action within the framework of the principles of respect for sovereignty and non-intervention in the internal affairs of other states, in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations and International Law”.
