In connection with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Government of the state of Táchira provided aid to 350 people who suffer or have a commitment.

Karen Duran de Bernal, president of the Tachirense Family Foundation, presided over the delivery of adult and pediatric wheelchairs, pediatric orthopedic cars, simple and wheeled adult walkers, 1- and 4-pointed canes, tracking canes, axillary and Canadian crutches, anti-decubitus mattresses and cushions, evacuation chairs, glucometers, medications, blood pressure monitors, and others.

During the day, Duran pointed out that these young people are examples of life for society, “let's not limit ourselves and let's not limit ourselves to those with disabilities, we are pleased as always to be able to help them, to be able to collaborate with them, to be able to characterize each of the cases and continue to respond to our people.”

There is still a long way to go, he continued, “there are still some things that we have to keep working and strengthening, but here we are always fighting, with desire, with will, with commitment, with love and willingness to help these people who fill our lives with joy, satisfaction and greatness and such beautiful achievements because when you see them graduating, working, doing extraordinary things, we say, yes we can”, he concluded according to the publication of the newspaper Últime Noticias (UN).
