The governor of the state of Zulia, Luis Caldera, reported that this Saturday, October 18, he held a meeting with national and state institutions together with G/D Javier Magallanes, head of the Comprehensive Defense Operational Zone (ZODI) and the Superior General Staff of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), to refine details regarding the security issue for the upcoming Patron Saint's Day 2025.
“We are preparing for the festivities close to the descent of Our Lady of the Rosary of Chiquinquirá and the commemoration of the birth of GJ Rafael Urdaneta,” Caldera said in a post on his Instagram account.
He also specified that they are “in the articulation and organization of the nation's comprehensive security and defense plans, for peace, for the sovereignty and integrity of the Homeland; and in planning social care actions for Zulians and Zulians, as well as the completion of works throughout the territory”.
Next Saturday, October 25, the traditional Bajada de La Chinita will take place in the Basilica Square.
