The Governor of Trujillo State, Gerardo Márquez, assured that the Bolivarian Government is providing care to all families that have been affected by the heavy rainfall recorded in the state.
He explained that the Minister of Popular Power for Public Works, Juan José Ramírez, and Minister of the People's Power for Water Care, Carlos Mast, arrived in the state of Trujillo to help deal with some emergencies in the municipality of San Rafael de Carvajal, where as a result of the rains there were landslides and edge faults.
“The situation is under control. We also visited Valera and we are serving two important sectors of that municipality where 18 families had total loss of their homes,” he said.
In that regard, he reported that these families will be relocated next week with the support of the Minister of Popular Power for Habitat and Housing, Raúl Paredes. “We will also support them with their equipment,” he said.
He also announced that the vehicle passage is open and controlled in the Villa Rosa sector of the Boconó municipality, after the flooding of the ravines due to heavy rainfall.
He indicated that electricity and water service were fully restored in the state. “We continue to serve directly together with the People's Power and the Community Circuits,” he added.
He asserted that the mayor of the Boconó municipality, Alejandro García, since the first emergency occurred, has been on the street fighting and looking for solutions. “People appreciate every action and they know that the Bolivarian Government will always be by their side and they will never be abandoned,” he said.
