Governor of Zulia: In Venezuela, indigenous peoples and communities can choose our spokespersons

The governor of the state of Zulia, Luis Caldera, exercised his right to vote in elections to elect indigenous legislators and deputies to the National Assembly.
After his participation, he specified that “Venezuela is setting an example of what participation is, of what choice is (...) there are countries in the world where there are indigenous peoples who are called ethnic minorities, in Venezuela we are indigenous peoples and communities who can choose our spokespersons based on tradition, based on custom and with the support of the National Electoral Council (CNE).
In addition, he stressed that in Venezuela, aboriginal people can choose their spokespersons based on tradition and customs, with the support of the National Electoral Council (CNE).
