The governor of Apure State, Wilmer Rodríguez, delivered more than 30 fishing kits for Copori and Catfish to 12 Councils of the Popular Power of Fishermen and Aquaculturists (CONNPA) on Apurito Island.

The activity was carried out by the Pedro Pérez Delgado Socialist Commune, at the facilities of the Freight Fish Processing Plant, located in the parish of El Recreo, in the municipality of San Fernando.

“Today we are keeping our word with the fishermen and women. A few weeks ago we were here, we committed to delivering these fishing trains, and today we are making that commitment a reality,” he said.

Nine communities and more than 30 families benefit from this delivery, the regional president said, adding that “after the difficult months marked by floods, there are times of blessing and abundance.”

“Despite the rising rivers, we are willing to resume our work with commitment, bringing this fresh protein to the town (...) These fishing equipment that they have given us are a great help to continue our mission,” said the spokesman for CONNPA El Caribe, Jesús Pérez.
