The Venezuelan Greco-Roman wrestling team won four gold medals at the Bolivarian Games in Ayacucho-Lima.
The fighters Luis Avenaño in the 87 kilogram category of the men's category, Raiber Rodríguez (60 kg), Moisés Pérez (130 kg) and Luillis Pérez (97 kg) played the national anthem in Peru.
Avenaño began his journey with a score of 7-4 against Colombian Carlos Muñoz and then immediately beat Panamanian Manuel Brown (9-0), Dominican Johan Batista (9-0) and Peruvian Carlos Espinoza, who did not appear in the fight for the gold one due to medical advice due to a possible injury to one of his eyes.
For his part, Rodríguez dominated the Peruvian Abel Sánchez (8-0), the Panamanian Robert Pérez (2-1) and the Chilean Raiber Rodríguez (9-0), while in the semifinal he beat the Dominican Maikel Josefa 6-0 and in the final he demolished the Ecuadorian Clisman Carracedo 13-3.
On the other hand, Moisés Pérez beat Chile's Diego Almendras, Peru's Fabricio Seminario (4-0) and Dominican José Nuñez (4-0). While Luillis Pérez did the same against the Peruvian Ricardo Cardenas (4-2) and the Dominican Carlos Adames (4-3).
The Venezuelan Leomar Cordero (77 kg) won silver, after completing the victory over the Peruvian Diego Castillo (9-0), falling to the Colombian Jair Cuero (8-0) and dominating the Chilean Eduardo Bernal 10-0, to climb to second place on the podium.
