The queen of triple jumping, Yulimar Rojas, showed that she is ready to return to competition after winning the bronze medal at the World Athletics Championship in Tokyo.
The world record holder and Olympic champion with a championship record at the Tokyo 2020 Games, won the bronze one with a jump of 14.76 meters, on her return to the courts after two years of absence due to an injury to her left Achilles tendon.
Rojas was only surpassed by the Cuban Leyanis Pérez, who won the gold with a jump of 14.94 m and the Dominican Thea Lafond with 14.89 m the silver one.
This is the sixth time that Rojas has been on the podium in an open-air world championship and for the first time in the third step. She was champion in London 2017 (14.91), Doha 2019 (15.37), Eugene 2022 (15.47) and Budapest 2023 (15, 08).
