Head of State congratulated his counterpart Lukashenko after presidential re-election

The head of state, Nicolás Maduro, on behalf of Venezuela and its people, congratulated his counterpart from Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko.

'In the name of Venezuela, we your brothers and sisters, I congratulate the fierce nation of Belarus, with whom we have established genuine cooperation and solidarity based on the impetus of both histories of independence, courage and dignity of our peoples because we have decided to be free, sovereign and anti-fascist,” wrote the president.

He also noted that Lukshenko's victory is “overwhelming and significant, demonstrating the reality of Belarusian sentiment, which without hesitation and widely re-elected its brother president.”
