Head of State: Manuela Sáenz marked the libertarian route that our people must follow

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, honored Manuela Sáenz, the hero of our Independence, on the occasion of celebrating another anniversary of her death on November 13.

“We pay eternal honor and glory to Manuela Sáenz, on the anniversary of her death. Giantess of America, Liberator of the Liberator. Although she was born in Quito, Manuelita is also Venezuelan, and we feel that way because of her impetus, her spirit, her thinking and her work as a liberator; always present in our struggles.

Manuela was the fighter, the promoted captain in Junín and the colonel of Ayacucho who gunned down the royalist soldiers. She was the rebel, the anti-oligarchic, the confidant and the counselor. With his strength, he marked the life of our Liberator Simon Bolivar and the path that our Peoples must follow: loyalty, libertarian passion and commitment to liberation.”

“We remember the intuitive Manuela, who did not keep the truths silent, as our women and our Peoples should be: to say everything in our souls to open the way to worlds of justice, of truth and to new life.
