Head of State: Mutual respect has allowed cooperation and union between Venezuela and Russia

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, during a meeting with representatives of the government of the Federative Republic of Russia, expressed his congratulations to the binational commission that prepared the multisectoral agreements to promote relations between the two nations.

“This meeting, 20 years after the High Level Commission was founded between the two nations, is one of satisfaction with the work, the spirit of friendship and brotherhood that increasingly unites Russia and Venezuela. With these signed agreements, we seal and consolidate the path of union and cooperation for the future,” stressed the National President.

The president celebrated the Strategic Agreements during the XVII Meeting of the High-Level Intergovernmental Commission between Venezuela and Russia, and recalled that Commander Hugo Chávez was the founder of this historic, human and profound agenda with Russia. “He had a clear vision of the multipolar world,” he said.

He reiterated the ties of brotherhood between Russia and Venezuela where the spirit of respect and mutual trust has allowed processes of cooperation and union.
