Head of State: Neither surnames nor the North American empire will dominate Venezuela again

This Monday, January 6, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, assured that neither by deception nor force will they ever dominate Venezuela again, neither the oligarchies of the surnames nor the North American empire, “nor their subservient satellite governments, wherever they are.”

This was emphasized when he recalled that one of the maxims of Liberator Simon Bolivar that slavery is the daughter of darkness, an ignorant people is a blind instrument of their own destruction, “these are Bolivarian judgments that have marked our vision to interpret past and present times since the refounding of their original project by our Commander Hugo Chávez.”

He stressed that just as slavery is the child of darkness, the extremist fascist right, “they are the darkness, that's what I said to my shepherd sisters and brothers, that's what I say to Catholics, Muslims, Jews (...) that's what I say to the People of God.”

“Fascism is the child of darkness, they (extreme right) are darkness, darkness. We have to be the LIGHT, the Sun that illuminates our Homeland Venezuela in the name of Almighty God,” he stressed.

He made the statement at the Miraflores Palace, where he chaired a working meeting with the Executive Cabinet; the Superior General Staff of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB); the commanders of the Integral Defense Strategy Region (REDI); the Political Bureau and the National Directorate of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) and members of the Simon Bolivar Great Patriotic Pole (GPPSB).
