The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, praised the Parade this Saturday on the occasion of the 214th Anniversary of the Solemn Declaration of Independence, Day of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) and Day of the Venezuelan Soldier.

“We watched with admiration this beautiful and impressive popular, military and police parade today, July 5, 2025, 214 years after that sublime and heroic act of our founding fathers,” said the Head of State from Paseo Los Próceres, in Caracas.

He recalled that he recently participated in the celebration “of the 80th anniversary of the great victory of the Soviet Union, the Red Army, the Russian people against fascist Nazi Germany and against all Western fascism (...) That parade was at the height of the celebration of a historic date of humanity and I was very impressed and I said this to President (Vladimir) Putin personally and congratulated him on behalf of our people.”

In this regard, as Commander in Chief of the FANB, he expressed his pride “for this perfect parade in morality, in martial art, in quality, in the deployment of the weapons systems that we can show, in discipline,” he said in reference to the celebration of Independence Day, in which military, police and popular forces “have shone.

“I can say in Spanish and I can say in English: This is indeed a true parade of an armed force, of a liberating force, pride of our America and of the peoples of the global south. It's a real parade,” he emphasized.
