Head of State: PSUV renewed 70% of municipal leadership

On Monday night on his Con Maduro+ program, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, reported that 70% of the 335 candidates for mayors presented by the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) and other parties that make up the coalition of the Great Patriotic Pole Simon Bolivar (GPPSB) are new faces.

“We have 335 candidates with a renewal level of almost 70% of those who were in the mayors, with the great project of turning mayors into instruments of Popular Power and not the other way around, that is, for mayors to exploit People's Power, no, no!” , he noted.

In his words, the head of state specified that mayors must obey the commands of the communal circuits and the People's Power.
